To the Arabs and Egyptians of Gaza and the West Bank

GIVE THEM THEIR LAND BACK

The Arabs of Gaza, 2.3 million people, have gone from being in an open air prison since 2007, more than 17 years, to what is now, an open air concentration camp. For 12 days, the Israeli government has denied them food, water, electricity, and bombed hospitals, ambulances, and residential areas. This is genocide.

My name is Jacqueline Devorah Fine. I speak to every young Jew reading this post: stop the genocide of the Arabs now. They are not Philistines or Canaanites; they are Arabs and they are worthy of your respect and care.

Today, I dawn the keffiyeh (spelling intentional). Today, and every day, until Palestinian Arabs are freed from the Gaza concentration camp.

I warn the international community now: you are taking too long to bring the Gazans water. These are real people who require water now, and you, too, will be guilty of standing idly by the blood of your neighbor if you do not intervene NOW.

Only the righteous who protest the wicked will be spared. Remaining silent at this time is not enough. Your silence will be understood as assent. I urge every young Jew to publicly denounce Netanyahu and his right wing enablers. What Netanyahu represents is not Judaism.

"He who sows the wind shall reap the whirlwind." What the diaspora has not considered is that the backlash from this event, spiritually, politically, and economically, will be catastrophic if it is allowed to continue. For the sake of humanity, for the sake of worldwide Jewry, stop the genocide now.

Part One: A summary:

  1. I condemn the unjustified, collective punishment of the people of Gaza and of the West Bank.

  2. I believe very strongly that the treatment of Palestinians is connected to the treatment of the people of East Palestine, Ohio. The world cannot wait, and the inaction of surrounding populations to the plight of these peoples demonstrates a mentality in the modern age that must change: real action such as bringing food, water, and supplies are necessary, not facebook likes.

  3. For Jews and Christians confused about the religious doctrine concerning Palestinians, I proffer the following view, based upon the Torah:

    1. According to Torah law, Jews are required to treat Arabs with respect, as Arabs are noted by G-d himself to be a "great nation."

    2. Likewise, according to Torah law, Jews are commanded to treat Egyptians with respect.

    3. The Palestinians are not "Philistines" but are Egyptians and Arabs with rightful claims to the Gaza strip.

    4. Many Arabs opened their homes, and their meager food stores, to Jews who entered Israel having survived the Holocaust. Jews are required to recognize and respect this hospitality.

    5. Denial of basic hospitality, and indeed the right to even exist as a people, to the Arabs and Egyptians residing within the State of Israel will eventually merit "ayin tahat ayin, nefesh tahat nefesh." Please see 2 Samuel 2:21 for reference. Jews are commanded no less than 36 times to respect the stranger amongst them.

  4. For nearly 17 years, 2.3 million Arabs and Egyptians have been living in Gaza in an open air prison. Movement in and out is totally restricted by the Israelis.

  5. Based upon direct observation of Israeli embassy staff, it is the policy of the Israeli government to snatch phones away from observers so as to avoid being recorded.

  6. According to reports from Al Jazeera, the telecommunications hub for Gaza has been bombed and is inoperable.

  7. Now is the time for courageous peoples to unite and stop the fascistic government of Benjamin Netanyahu, and his genocidal policies of racial supremacy, from spreading to the United States. Most importantly, young Jews in the diaspora must denounce Netanyahu.

Part Two: Another discussion that young Jews must have, and acknowledge, is that Israel under Benjamin Netanyahu is not a "state for the Jewish people." This is another lie. Instead, it is a state only for the ultra-Haredi and ultra wealthy. Reform Jews and Conservative Jews, Progressive Jews, Reconstructionist Jews, are labelled differently as human beings as they cannot receive "Jew" stamped on their passport. They cannot be buried in the same cemeteries, nor can they be married in the state of Israel.

Do you really think that the radical right wing government will stop with the Arabs?

    Part Three:

For Christians and other bystanders reading this post:

What do you mean when you say that you "stand by Israel?" Have you considered reading any other sources, other than Western sources, concerning what is going on in the Gaza strip?

    1. In 2007, Israel effectively jailed 2.3 million Palestinian Arabs onto a small strip of land, about twice the size of Washington D.C. It is now one of the most densely populated areas of the world.
    2. Under the leadership of Netanyahu and his cronies, Israeli authorities totally, and completely control who can enter or exit the camp. Palestinians cannot exit through Egypt, nor can they exit to Israel. Likewise, Israeli officials totally control the amount of food Palestinians receive. A brief history: In 2006, Dov Weisglass, a senior advisor to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, openly proclaimed Israeli policy was designed “to put the Palestinians on a diet, but not to make them die of hunger.” Accordingly, in early 2008, Israeli authorities drew up a document calculating the minimum caloric intake necessary for Palestinian Arabs to avoid malnutrition so Israel could limit the amount of foodstuffs allowed into Gaza without causing outright starvation.
    3. After a little over 17 years, Palestinians finally broke through the blockade.
    4. Israel responded to an attack by Hamas by completely cutting off food, electricity, and water to Palestinian Arabs: 2.3 million people, packed into one of the most densely populated areas in the world. This has continued for over a week now. The intended goal is clear: genocide of the Arabs.
    5. Under the direction of the Israeli government, the IDF bombed hospitals, ambulances, civilians fleeing from North Gaza to South Gaza.

When you say you "support Israel" do you mean that you support the genocide of Arabs and the disenfranchisement of non-Haredi Jews? (See earlier post).

Once again, and I repeat the most important point:

"He who sows the wind shall reap the whirlwind." What the diaspora has not considered is that the backlash from this event, spiritually, politically, and economically, will be catastrophic if it is allowed to continue. If you remain silent now, your silence will be understood as assent. Do not stand idly by the blood of your neighbor. You, yes, you will be responsible for denying the Arabs, your neighbors, water if you do not speak out now, if you do not fight for them to receive water.

I stand on the side of truth. I stand on the side of Palestinian Arabs and on the side of every progressive Jew who sees this for what it is: a setup.

    Day 12:

My Jews, my Jews, my Jews! I am beating my chest trying to get you to see what you are doing. Your hearts are deaf. It is your hearts that are deaf to the cries of your neighbors over the wall who are dying of thirst and hunger. All Jews who are protesting with me are trying to get you to SEE: you are killing them, but you are killing YOURSELVES. Hashem will exact a price for concentration camp you have opened, for the special crime of inhospitality, and that is ayin tahat ayin, nefesh tahat nefesh. I am also wearing the keffiyeh to show you, you are killing yourselves. Look. Look what you are doing. WE ARE TRYING TO SAVE YOU.

I speak to your hearts and COMMAND THE EARS OF YOUR DEAF HEARTS TO OPEN. What you are doing is wicked. NOT IN MY NAME
